The Barrie Box offers a plethora of fresh and seasonal fruits and vegetables, some sourced from local farms as well as at time to time, exotic additions. We take care to present and update our products in the ‘application’ and within the boxes as accurately and as timely as possible.
This website and associated application are operated by A.P Barrie & Co. Throughout the site and application, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to A.P Barrie & Co. and The Barrie Box. We offer this website and application, including all information, tools, and services available from this site to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies and notices stated here.
By visiting our application and/or purchasing something from us, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions (“Terms of Service”, “Terms”), including those additional terms and conditions and policies referenced herein and/or available by hyperlink. These Terms of Service apply to all users of the site, including without limitation users who are browsers, vendors, customers, merchants, and/or contributors of content.

The products which we stock on our application, and at the various locations we operate have all been upload to the appropriate section of the application. If an item of stock is low, or unavailable purchase of this will not be able to be processed and we will endeavor to re-stock the location as promptly as possible.
We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to limit the sales of our products or Services to any person, geographic region, or jurisdiction. We may exercise this right on a case-by-case basis. We reserve the right to limit the quantities of any products or services that we offer. All descriptions of products or product pricing are subject to change at anytime without notice, at the sole discretion of us. We reserve the right to discontinue any product at any time. Any offer for any product or service made on this site is void where prohibited.
You may not use our products for any illegal or unauthorized purpose nor may you, in the use of the Service, violate any laws in your jurisdiction (including but not limited to copyright laws).
A breach or violation of any of the Terms will result in an immediate termination of your Services.
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.
You understand that your content (not including credit card information), may be transferred unencrypted and involve (a) transmissions over various networks; and (b) changes to conform and adapt to technical requirements of connecting networks or devices. Credit card information is always encrypted during transfer over networks.
You agree to provide current, complete and accurate purchase and account information for all purchases made at our store. You agree to promptly update your account and other information, including your email address and credit card numbers and expiration dates, so that we can complete your transactions and contact you as needed.
You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or exploit any portion of the Service, use of the Service, or access to the Service or any contact on the website through which the service is provided, without express written permission by us.
Returns and Refund Policy
Payments for purchases from any of The Barrie Box locations is processed by the platform Tyl®.
For perishable, fruit, and vegetable items, these are non-returnable or refundable.
For packaged parlor and cupboard goods, returns will be accepted on products you are not wholly satisfied with, within a period of 30 days. Within 30 days we will offer an exchange or full refund. If the product has been opened and does not live up to expectations, we will offer a refund for the product. In the first instance, please email: firstname.lastname@example.org to speak with an advisor.
Refunds will be processed to the original purchase card within 14 days of notification. This will be done through our online system, so please allow 3 to 5 business days after confirmation that the refund has been processed to see the funds in your account.
If for any reason the refund cannot be processed, we will endeavor to contact you as soon as we are aware of any issues. If you have received confirmation of a refund being processed, but not received the funds after 5 days please contact your bank in the first instance.
Personal information we collect
When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, we use this Order Information to:

Equal Opportunities Policy
We are totally committed to and operate an equal opportunities policy within our employment regime.

Grievance and Disciplinary Procedures
Our procedures for ensuring that no employee should feel that he or she has been unfairly treated are clearly stated in our Contracts of Employment. Every member of Staff can feel free to make use of the systems laid down to lodge a complaint with management in writing at any time and will not be discriminated against as a result.
It is our policy to train our Staff where this is deemed necessary, indeed it is laid down in all our Contracts of Employment that Staff must attend any such courses when required to do so by Management, whether held inside or outside working hours. Thereafter we shall promote on the basis of merit and ability.
We recognise that both men and women are entitled to receive equal pay for the same work, equal work or work of equivalent value and will actively pursue this policy at all times without any discrimination on the grounds of sex.
Within our contracts of employment we make it absolutely clear that we are totally opposed to harassment of any sort, sexual or otherwise and will actively take steps to severe disciplinary action against the perpetrator if any case is brought to our attention.
Practices at Work
We shall expect all employees individually to comply with all the aims and objectives contained in this declaration at all times and to report any breach which they come across directly to Management.
For our part we shall recruit select promote and train strictly in accordance with this code. We shall treat unfair discrimination, harassment or sexual harassment as a severe breach of discipline and such action will not be tolerated. At all times we shall actively encourage and practise the promotion of equal opportunities, equal and fair treatment relative to skills application and ability. We shall not tolerate or practise any victimisation against those who bring to our attention any case which might violate this code or who take reasonable action to try and prevent such offences ever taking place.
When any such matter is brought to our attention we shall thoroughly investigate the facts and aim to deal with each case on its merits as quickly, sensitively and impartially as we are able.
Health and Safety Policy Statement
Management recognises and accepts its responsibility to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health and safety of all its employees, contractors, visitors and those members of public who may be affected by the business activities.
It’s the business aim to promote, set and maintain the highest standards for health, safety and welfare matter. This will be achieved by:

Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
AP Barrie is committed to ensuring that is no modern slavery or human trafficking in any part of our business. The statement is made pursuant to Section 54, Part 6 of Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out the steps we have taken to ensure that slavery and human trafficking is not taking place in any part of our business and employees are aware of this risk.
Certain entities within AP Barrie are subject to the UK anti- slavery Act. AP Barrie has zero tolerance approach to non-ethical practices and its committed to acting professionally, fairly and with in all its business dealing and combat modern slavery that could be taking place within the business.
Our company and our Business
AP Barrie is a soft fruit farm which is in Perthshire. We employ large number of people each year to pick, pack and sell our produce to supermarkets and locally.
Our Policies on Slavery and Human Trafficking
AP Barrie operates several additional policies and procedures to support this policy statement and ensure that it is conducting business in an ethical and transparent manner. These include:
AP Barrie dedicated to maintaining a fair and ethical work place for all employees. It operates a robust recruitment policy that includes equal opportunity, valuing diversity and conducting eligibility check that ensure that all employees are safeguarded against human trafficking or individuals being forced to work against their will.
Code of business conduct. The code explains the manner in which AP Barrie behaves as an organisation and how it expects its employees and suppliers to act.
Whistleblowing. AP Barrie encourages the reporting of concern and protection of whistle-blowers to ensure that employees can raise concern about how colleagues are being treated, or practise within the business without fear of reprisals.
